How do I play Battlefield, Bad Company 2?

I just got battlefield bad company 2 and I'm kind of lost in it. I tried playing online multi-player and the match literally went on forever. I haven't touched the campaign mode yet, but I will, maybe that will help me understand the game better.How do I play Battlefield, Bad Company 2?
The Bad Company 2 multiplayer is fairly complex, and will almost always last about 15-20 minutes for a match if not more.



There are several gametypes, but the main ones are this:



Rush, where there is an attacking and defending team. The attacking team has to go to the charges, A and B, and plant a bomb on them to advance to the next area or beat the other team. They have a collective of 75 lives for all of them, and lose the game when all of them are used. The defenders must keep the bombs from going off as long as possible, long enough to kill 75 of the attackers to win. If they lose a base, they have to move back and the attackers lives are reset to 75.



There is also Conquest, where there are a certain amounts of flags in the map. Your team needs to capture and hold the majority of those flags to get the other teams "tickets" down to 0 to win. Killing an enemy gives your team a ticket and removes one from the other team. Both teams start with 200.



There is also squad versions of both Rush and conquest, and the lives for those are much lower, as there are only 4 people per team. There is also Squad Deathmatch, where 16 players are thrown into 4 squads and the first squad to reach 50 kills is the winner, that is fairly straight forward.



In the multiplayer, you can respawn on your squadmates, if you have any, and at the normal base spawn. There are also four classes, each with different points. Assault uses assault rifles and can replenish ammo, engineers can shoot down tanks and helicopters and repair vehicles. They use Submachine guns. Medics use Light Machine guns and can replenish health of their teammates and even revive them, which gives the team back a life if they lost one, and there are the snipers with the long range rifles. They can drop mortars on the enemy.

Battlefield Bad Company online is a very tactical game. Like you would get into squads of four with mabey some friends:

1 Assault - Your average solider guns ammo etc

1 Medic - can heal fellow team-mates with the defibulator and have LMGs

1 Engineer - a repair tool to repair vehicles, smg and a rocket launcher

1 Recon - These guys have mortars, snipers and motion sensors



Playing the campagin only helps with the controls where as online is very different from campagin.How do I play Battlefield, Bad Company 2?
Run through the campaign, it'll teach you what you need to know. But essentially, it's pretty much setup like CoD, LT to aim, RT to fire (I have a 360, haven't played it on PS3). Of course, CoD sucked, Black Ops and Modern Warfare 2 showed that.
